An identity rooted in connection, kindness & growth.
My Role
Art Direction & Design
Client
Anna Goeke, Founder & Owner, Mettarel

Goals
Create a brand mark for a relationship therapy and professional training practice. It needed to build recognition across the website, letterhead, door sign, and fliers.
healing Professional soothing MODERN
TRUSTWORTHY kind
Discovery
Mettarel’s clients come to repair connection, so the logo had to feel safe before it felt clever.
Constraints
Credible next to established EFT and relationship-therapy brands, without looking like them
Warm enough to put anxious people at ease, professional enough to signal expertise
Works small on letterhead and large on a door sign
Exploration
Warm, not clinical.

01 / TYPOGRAPHY
I wanted a font that felt trustworthy yet friendly, so a viewer wouldn’t be intimidated. I tested a semi-cursive face with humanist, handwriting-like curves against a serif, which reads as intellectual and established.
02 / SHAPE
Hearts and the idea of plants to express growth: a person rising from love, kindness, and connection.

03 / COLOR
Soft blues and greens led the exploration. Green is associated with healing, restoration, and growth. Blue is associated with trust, wisdom, and tranquility. Browns bring in a warm and earthy tone.

Results
Connection that grows.
The semi-cursive wordmark gives the name a friendly, handwritten warmth. Dropping “Associates” turns it into a single, modern word. In the mark, heart-shaped forms open outward with a figure rising from the center. It reads as a person who has grown through connection, which is what clients hope to do in therapy. The blue builds trust and the neutral tone gives it contrast and a grounded feel.
